Pre Colombian Tairona Carnelian Bead Bracelet

About the Item

Circa 1000 - 1500 CE Pre Colombian. Columbia, Tairona. Beads. A lovely bracelet of a wearable comprised or 17 seed form, tubular and ovoid beads carved form vermelian hued carnelian. The integral white veining running throughout the stones creates a beautiful polychrome presentation, and the terminals are capped with a modern silver-plated loop and lobster clasp combo. Size (bracelet): 8.5" L (21.6 cm); (largest bead): 1" L x 0.4" W (2.5 cm x 1 cm) Provenance: private Probst collection, Monterey, California, USA, acquired between the mid 1970s and mid 1990s All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
