Sculptural Amethyst with Fluorite on an 18th Century Italian Altar Base

About the Item

Sculptural amethyst crystal with fluorite on an 18th century Italian altar base. The amethyst crystal is originally from Brazil and has a fluorite inclusion. It is mounted on an 18th century altar base originally from a church in Tuscany. The combination of the purple amethyst crystal and gold leaf 18th century altar base brings together a historical yet organic modern piece. The pieces' colors complement one another and historically both colors signify a sense of royalty. The carved wood points in front of the altar base complements the amethyst points in the specimen. The sides and back of the altar base correlate with the back of the amethyst crystal.
