Large bookends made from a sectarian geode, also known as "dragon egg" or "dragon stone".
The polished face is 7 inches tall by 5 ½ inches and the depth is just under 5 inches.
The bottom and inner sides are covered with a dark red felt.
The tips of each have been repaired.
