Selenite is the clear, glass-like variety of gypsum, admired for its purity and optical perfection. This specimen features a perfectly transparent crystal of extraordinary clarity, allowing the matrix beneath to be seen entirely through the crystal — a phenomenon rarely found at this level of transparency.
