This large cluster of butterscotch Wulfinite cubic crystals on matrix was discovered in the Ahumada Mine, Sierra Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico. These rare, Wulfenite specimens have been a prize choice for collectors for many decades. These Wulfenites were famously discovered in the early 1970s, and for a decade, this area produced some of the finest Wulfenites in the world. This area of Mexico has been closed for mining for many decades. This specimen is a great example of these rare Wulfenites, showing bright orange crystals on the white contrasted matrix.
