Antique Green Glass Bottle to Store Wine

About the Item

Green glass bottle. Traditionally used to store wine, olive oil or other liquids in large quantities. The bottle is round, with a narrow neck and a smooth finish, characteristic of industrially blown or moulded bottles. The glass has a translucent greenish colour, common in old containers due to the presence of iron in the composition of the material. The surface of the bottle shows some marks and small imperfections, suggesting prolonged use or an artisanal manufacturing process. This type of bottle was often used in cellars and warehouses for fermenting and transporting liquids. Today, bottles of this type are also valued as decorative elements.
