Antique Greenglass Bottle Demijohns or Carboy in Authentic Wicker Basket, France
About the Item
Dame Jeanne or carboy antique glass bottle demijohn.
The carboys were often protected from shocks and temperature variations into a wicker basket. Between the bascket and the bottle, some straw was added (please look on photos).
This king of demijohn is rare because the wicker has rarely come down to us in a good state of preservation.
For the anecdote, the ticket still attached to the basket proves that this Dame-Jeanne was registered by a perfume store in Toulouse.
