Art Deco Rare Ceramic Flapper Powder Puff Stand, C1930
About the Item
Dating to the 1930's this very attractive and rare Art Deco powder bowl stand. Depicts a flapper girl sat on a a chair with her legs . The attention to detail is just wonderful, so skillfully painted, from her slightly blushed cheeks to her tiny fingers, everything about this piece screams quality and at every angle she looks amazing. These powder boxes as any collector will agree when reading this hard extremely hard to come by. Part of the half doll family, these boxes are highly collectable. Originating from France this particular model has a hotel stamp on the reverse which we've never seen before. We think these were probably complimentary pieces on a ladies dressing table in the hotel bedroom. Free from damage just showing some firing flaws on the seat of the chair, everything else is as it should be.
