About the Item

Offered here is a fine quality French post war fragrance diffuser. It was used to freshen up and make a room smell nicely. Sometimes called aroma oil lamps, the fragrance was placed in the bottle along with the lamp oil, and the enclosed wick was lit to perpetuate the "aroma". The condition is excellent with no cracks, breaks, chips, or restoration of any kind. Although it is unmarked (as was often the case with these bottles as they were sold to different fragrance companies) it is more than likely of French manufacture, as they seemed to dominate this particular market. What sets this vessel apart from other fragrance bottles is it's fine quality cut glass and large size, making it the perfect complement to a discerning collection of high end scent bottles or outstanding crystal. Dimensions: 7 1/4" wide x 6 1/4 high x 3" deep Note: please see other scent bottles I have listed on 1st Dibs
