About the Item
Sicilian soft shaped ceramic bottle pitcher vase with handle and spout designed and handmade by ceramic artist Giovanni De Simone (1930-1991) in 1964. De Simone studied under the direction of Pablo Picasso by whom he was highly inspired. The pitcher presents stylized human motifs, faces and graphic patterns hand-painted in vibrant orange, green, rose and white colored glaze. Signed and dated by the artist under base. Beautiful vintage condition.
