Giovanni de Simone Hand-Painted Jug Vase This three-sided handled jug vase by famed Italian artist Giovanni de Simone (1930-1991) is an original gem. The vase features several colorful hand-painted portraits in the style of Picasso. The base of the vase is marked "Desimone Italy 55." Measurements are as follows: 4" in diameter x 8.5" high Giovanni de Simone (1930-1991) was an Italian ceramist who opened his studio in Palermo, Sicily soon after the end of World War ll. He studied for many years with Pablo Picasso. It is easy to see Picasso's influence in his work, and this jug vase is no exception. De Simone's work is highly sought after by collectors.
