$900 Sale Price25% Off - Merletto Glass Vase with Ground Lip, style of Harrachov CzechBy Harrach GlassworksLocated in Melbourne, AUThis may not be a vase by the Czech company Harrach, hence listed ‘in the style of’. Nevertheless, it has a strong central European 1950s aesthetic. We love to connect the objects we find to the social movements of their time. This vase was made in the 1950s - the atomic age. You can see the inclination towards science - experimental materials and technology, accuracy and super fine detail in the 'Merlatto' (lace) glass treatment of this vase. The Merletto pattern inside the glass is unlike the triple-threaded Czech version. It looks more like the earlier Seguso Merletto...Category

- Set of 3 Empoli Vases Hobnail Pattern Cased Glass Mid CenturyBy Empoli, Vetrerie di EmpoliLocated in Bad Säckingen, DEThe set of three different Empoli vases with a hobnail pattern showcases the charm and craftsmanship of mid-century Italian glassmaking. Empoli is a region in Tuscany, Italy, renowned for its long tradition of producing high-quality glassware. Each vase in the set boasts a distinctive hobnail pattern, which consists of small, rounded, and raised glass beads covering the surface in a regular and decorative arrangement. This textured pattern adds a delightful tactile element to the vases, enhancing their visual appeal. The vases are made using the cased glass technique, where several layers of different colored glass are fused together. In this case each vase consists of three layers, translucent outer and inner layer in red, violet and ochre and an opaque white middle layer. This process creates a mesmerizing depth of color, as the light interacts with the multiple glass layers. The set includes three vases of varying heights and shapes, offering a dynamic and versatile display. The mid-century design aesthetic prevalent in this era is likely reflected in the vases' sleek and elegant silhouettes. The colors chosen for the vases, including red, violet, and ochre, are evocative of the warm and vibrant hues commonly associated with mid-century decor. These colors not only add a touch of nostalgia but also create a bold and captivating visual impact. Empoli glassware...Category

- Blue Murano Glass Bottle by Carlo Moretti from the 1980sBy Carlo MorettiLocated in Milano, MIBlue Murano glass bottle, made by Carlo Moretti in the 1980s. Measures: Ø cm 8, H cm 21 Carlo Nason, born in Murano in 1935 from one of the oldest glassmaking families on the island, he was a great master glassmaker. He grew up attending the glass masters who work in the family furnace, appropriating the most refined techniques of glass art, demonstrating an innovative and planning attitude that he employed in the field of design, but referring to tradition. In 1925 the Nason Moretti company was founded by the Nasone brothers, specializing in the production of furnishing accessories and tableware, where the mastery of the most refined Murano techniques is integrated with a modern vision and careful chromatic research. In 1955 Umberto Nason created an innovative project of two-tone bowls and glasses that earned him the Compasso d'Oro award. In the 1960s, with the second generation of the family, there was a great development of the company which still maintained its characteristic vocation for experimentation. In the 1980s, he looked at lighting with postmodern reinterpretations of designed lights, with the Carlo Moretti Studio line and the series of collectible goblets and glasses. Since the 1990s, the business has focused on new collections conceived in a modern and design-oriented key. Carlo Moretti of Venice, founded by Carlo in 1958 in Murano, passed to new ownership in 2013, but it is still an important company today due to its constant relationship with design. The company is known for the beauty and elegance of Murano glass, arriving not only in the tables of the most important families, but also in the modern tables of today. Worked with ancient and secret techniques, Nason Moretti glasses...Category
