Original Lalique Perfume Bottle "Les Anemone" French, Circa 1946 (Signed)

About the Item

Original and authentic Rene Lalique designed perfume bottle; France circa 1946, marketed to the United States as "Two Flowers" perfume or scent bottle. The beautiful cut glass design is in high relief with a pair of frosted and enameled flowers set in a clear crystal container. Rene Lalique initially created this fine quality glass bottle in 1929 to be used by the up and coming French fragrance company "Bovril"; a paper label indicating as such was attached. The same design was made through the year 2000. This example is not the 1980's later reproduction modern version; as is attested and documented by the iconic script "Lalique" signature followed by "France"; discreetly noted on the underneath rim, as was the custom of Lalique; to place the signature in inconspicuous places (see image). The bottle was sold with and without the long dauber stem. This is the version with the blunt stopper, albeit, there are some losses to the very end (as often is the case, notably, from removing and placing the lovely top in and out of the bottle). The bottle is in all original condition and has not been restored in any fashion. Please note that the actual "color" is similar to the last image in the listing. I have used a black felt backdrop to accentuate and make the cut glass more viewable. Dimensions: 6 3/4" high x 5 1/2" wide x 4" deep Note: please see other scent bottles I have listed on 1st Dibs
