Pair of Renaissance style vermeil perfume bottles Continental, 19th century Measures: Height 20cm, diameter 6.5cm This beautiful pair of perfume bottles—also known as scent bottles—is crafted from vermeil, or gilded silver, in the Renaissance style. Each bottle features an elongated body, with a circular foot, narrow waist, bulbous body, and tall neck. The silver surfaces throughout are richly moulded and finished with a host of Renaissance style motifs, including sculpture busts and floral forms. The silver is fully hallmarked.
