Set of Early 19th Century Perfume Bottle in Turquoise Opaline

About the Item

A set of 4 opaline perfume bottles from the early 19th century; decoration was executed by Jean-Baptiste Desvignes. - One small perfume bottle in turquoise opaline with its ball shaped cork, decorated with a wreath of anemones and forget-me painted in dark blue and gold. Golden stripes, small palms and stylized garlands surround the floral pattern. Golden nets adorn the neck and cork painted with a radiating pattern atop. - One small perfume bottle in turquoise opaline with its ball shaped cork. A wreath of roses, anemones and forget-me in gold and dark blue is surounded by golden stripes, stylized foliage and little stars. Golden nets adorn the bottle and the neck of this bottle and a rosette and petals, its cork. - One small perfume bottle in blue turquoise opaline with its ball shaped cork. A wreath of roses, anemones and forget-me in gold and dark blue is surounded by golden stripes, also presents on the neck and cork. Golden stylized dentil patterns atop and at the bottom of the bottle. - One small perfume bottle in blue turquoise opaline with its ball shaped cork, decorated with a wreath of roses, anemones and forget-me in gold and dark blue. The hole is raised by golden netting of various thicknesses. At the top of the cap and on the belly, fine linear patterns. Condition report: Light wear to the gold.
