About the Item

A parrot pitcher designed by Alfredo Villasana. This is a very decorative hammered pitcher created in the city of Taxco Mexico at the silversmith atelier of Alfredo Villasana. A vintage piece boasting original patina and exquisite craftsmanship from Mexico. This unique pitcher showcases the artistry of Alfredo Villasana and reflects the rich cultural heritage of Taxco. With its captivating design featuring a parrot motif handle, this pitcher serves as both a functional vessel and a stunning work of art. Elevate your home decor with this timeless treasure, celebrating the beauty and tradition of Mexican craftsmanship. Alfredo Villasana He was a Taxco artist & was the manager for both William Spratling & Hector Aguilar in the 1930's, before branching off on his own. Villasana became known for doing some of the finest repousse work that you may ever come across, as well as designing some of the best clamper style bracelets that came out of Taxco back in the day. I personally have many favorite Taxco artisans that were known during the Mexican Silver Renaissance Days, but do have to admit that Villasana sits high on the list for his precise repousse work that are truly time consuming works of art!! By Salviati

This flat charger was crafted during the art deco period back in the early 1920 by the blown glass process. Made up in transparent amber glass with the upper rim accented by a stripe made up from blue pate d verre. The word come from soffietta, a tool used as a puffer to further inflate a vessel after it has been removed from the blowpipe and is attached to the pontil. Green and Blue Vintage Ceramic Pitcher
Located in Milano, IT
Wonderful vintage blue and green ceramic pitcher, designed n he 1950's of fine Italian manufacture. Under the base is its place of origin, Italy. The pitcher has a wider bottom that narrows as it goes towards the spout. There is a sleeve in the center of the body that allows for a firm grip on the pitcher. The spout opens very smoothly, preventing drinks from spilling out. The pitcher is totally made of finely crafted ceramic in white, light blue, blue and green, very quirky and elegant. The jug is suitable as a serving item but also as a beautiful flower vase.
