French Early 19th Century Terracotta Olive Oil Jar

About the Item

A French terracotta olive oil jar from the early 19th century, with wonderful glazes of vibrant orange and energetic black splashes that surround the entire piece. Hand-crafted in France circa 1800 this terracotta oil jar has a top circular opening with trimmed lip, a frontal spout, and three wide molded handles. This jar has an all over glaze and is covered with appealing glaze technique and exceptional patina that makes it look almost modern in design. With its gorgeous shape, color and rustic charm this antique jar would make a lovely decorative addition to any home, placed in the kitchen, dining room, or on the patio.
