Cheerfully hand painted with country-style flowers and etched Tabac on lid Stamped Aegitna Vallauris on base Circa Mid-20th Century Height 4.5 inch, Diameter 3.5 inch In good condition. A small area has clay residue under the glaze. Note, lid is loose fitting. Wear consistent with age and use

Created in Austria during the third quarter of the 19th century, this lovely tobacco jar called a humidor features a central wicker basket style lidded container accompanied with its small bucket, both of them decorated in a beige color accented with a pink trim.
