About the Item

Glazed clay jug. Brownish in colour, it stands out for the ornamental reliefs that enrich its surface, featuring leaves, flowers and elements inspired by Portuguese tradition. During the 1980s, these pieces were common in country houses and traditional kitchens and were used both for storing liquids and for decorative purposes. The jug has a robust design, with a well-marked handle and a pronounced spout for ease of use. An excellent example of the decorative ceramics produced in the final decades of the 20th century. Today, it can be used as a decorative element or of interest to collectors. Defects on the base.
