High Quality Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Censer Koro With Japanese Garden Scene and Butterflies
A high quality antique Japanese Meiji Era covered tripod enamel over brass censer koro.
Circa: late 19th century The sphere form ware is enameled with polychrome images of blossoming flowers and butterflies made in the Cloisonne technique. The ware is adorned with a sphere shaped finial, covered with polychrome enamel image of a flower and butterflies, made in the same technique. The bottom is decorated with a swirl pattern made in the same technique. Mounted on three legs. Unmarked.
