About the Item

Large Firenze Armorial Drug Storage Jar. Most likely by Cantagalli Maiolica and Ceramic Factory near Florence who created a type of Renaissance Revival Maiolica using traditional production methods of tin glazing earthenware. This is Cantagalli piece inspired by the early maiolica makers such as Giunta di Tugio (active 1419 - 1450) renowned for his significant commissions for hospitals in and around Florence in the 1430's Good condition some small minor surface abrasions. Late 19th Century, Florence, Italy.
