A Late 18th / Early 19th C. Dutch Delft Tea Caddy, Circa 1800

About the Item

A very charming antique tin-glazed Dutch delft tea caddy of rectangular form, decorated overall with hand painted foliate, floral & latticework designs in a striking palette of vermillion, black, green & cobalt. The squared shoulders decorated with a running border of vermillion latticework, terminating to cobalt flowerheads and rising to a short neck fitted with a cork stopper which may be a later replacement, the underside of the base showing maker / factory marks in cobalt blue.
