Mid-Century Era Barney & Betty Rubble of 'The Flintstones' Ceramic Cookie Jar

About the Item

This Mid-Century Modern ceramic cookie jar is unsigned, and could have been made by a variety of makers, but originates from the United States, dating to approximately 1963 and done in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The cookie jar depicts the "The Rubbles" from the iconic cartoon series, The Flintstone's. This figural cookie jar is fashioned as a large boulder with Barney and Betty Rubble featured on the front, with a bird on the roof which functions as the handle. Under the front window is inscribed "The Rubbles" and the jar is clearly marked "USA" on the back. This cookie jar is in extremely nice period condition and retains the felt pads on the bottom that the original owner put on it in 1963 when it was purchased.
