Neo-Renaissance Angel Ewer 19th Century

About the Item

Large neo-renaissance ewer in cast and chased bronze with angels. Beautiful, elegant and voluptuous forms. The body of the ewer is decorated with scrolls and leaves. The handle inside which rests a caryatid "pouto" (angel of love) ends in a grotesque head. On the opposite side of the ewer, an angel sitting on the body of the ewer is holding a coat of arms. France circa 1860.
