This beautiful pair of large antique Dutch Delft jars was made circa 1880 and features classic blue and white decoration.
The decoration presents a continuous garden scene with stylized trees, rockwork, and floral elements, framed by scrolling foliate borders and geometric bands at the shoulder and base.
Each jar has a baluster form with an octagonal base and a matching domed cover in octagonal form.
The lids are topped with the classic Delft "Bird and Ball" finial.
The jars are crafted in the traditional 17th century Delft style, prized for its elegance and enduring decorative appeal.
The bodies are fluted, which adds visual interest as light plays across the jars' surfaces.
