Pair of 19th Century Neoclassical Ewers By Samuel Alcock & Co Porcelain ovoid shape ewer with loop handle, both ewers decorated with greek style decoration of palmettes and scrolls. One Depicting "Paris Seizing Helen to Carry her to Troy" Marked to the underside Fac-simile of an Antique Vase S.A.&Co 4/368 The other Representing "The battle between the Greeks and the Amazons" Fac-simile of a vase Found at Cumae towards the end of the year 1855 see the illustrated London News Feb 16 1856 S A & Co. Both found in excellent condition. Circa 1856/7, England.
