Tudric For Liberty & Co Pewter Barrel Shaped Swirl Design Sugar Shaker

About the Item

A stylish Tudric pewter Arts & Crafts barrel shaped lidded sugar shaker with a swirl design made for Liberty & Co and dating from the early 20th century. This unusual barrel shaped sugar shaker stands on a rounded flat base with a shaped neck and narrow raised rounded opening with a screw in cover with an arrangement of various sized holes. The sugar shaker has repeat incised swirl patterning applied around the body set against a hand planished body with a vertical line design around the edge of the cover and repeated around the lower edge. The sugar shaker is marked ENGLISH PEWTER and LIBERTY & CO numbered 1941. In good condition.
