18th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Wall Jardiniere with Shell Motif
About the Item
Decorate a wall with this unique and elegant carved jardiniere. Crafted in France circa 1780, the piece shaped like a boat hull, features a beautiful carved shell on the front decorated with flowers and leaves in high relief. The back is embellished with a woman face in the center and scroll carvings on the sides. The exquisite jardiniere is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich and deep walnut patina. A true one of a kind piece of art! Hang it on a wall with dry foliage (see last photo).
