19th Century French Louis XV Bronze Silver Plated Oval Jardinière Center Piece
About the Item
This elegant bronze silver plated jardinière was created in Paris, France, circa 1870. The oblong antique planter sits on small curved feet and leaves, over a scalloped apron decorated with acanthus leaf motifs; it is further embellished with a large shell in high relief and floral decor. The center piece is further dressed with the original removable zinc liner. The oval planter is in excellent condition and adorns a beautiful patinated silver finish throughout. Use this impressive flower vessel filled with fruit to embellish a dining room table or buffet surface.
