3x Foundry Smelting Pots
About the Item
We have a great contact at a foundry in the north of England that once they finish using these crucibles they contact us. I have always loved these pieces as they are a great example of industrial art. Something that was made purely to serve a purpose that has turned into something amazing by sheer luck.
The strong glazes are caused by the smelting pots being regularly heated and then cooled which causes a reaction with what is being melted, in this case bronze which is what has created these vivid blues and reds. Very tactile and ideal left as is just on a side for decoration or with a potted plant in them.
