A Primitive teak wood Folk style wooden tree trunk mortar from the 19th century with distressed appearance, ideal to be used as a rustic planter. Created in Asia possibly during the 19th century, this teak wood piece attracts our attention with its greatly weathered appearance and Primitive flair. Made of a cylindrical hollow trunk resting on a tree root style base, this piece was very likely used as a mortar to grind grains or plants. Showcasing two tones on one of the sides, this Asian 19th century teak wood folk style tree trunk mortar will make for a wonderful addition to any home, used as a planter indoors or under a covered patio, where its great character will bring a touch of undeniable authenticity.
