Five-Piece Custom Mirrored Lucite Planter Set
About the Item
Interesting textured and mirrored Lucite suite composed of two table plant boxes, a pair of wall mounted planters, and a half table surround in the same material.
These were custom made for a Modernist home in Westchester, New York which had a matching circular stairwell and kitchen areas in the same materials.
Super heavy gauge Lucite (almost 1" thick) is used for all these pieces which are textured and then faced with a mirrored backing which makes them glow reflectively from within, very cool, like chipped ice. All pieces are anchored by the same detail, a band of brushed brass.
The large half oblong table surround was custom made as well and placed in front of a large mirror so it appeared to be a Lucite bordered full "tray". Inside the two box planters were used, as the well as the wall planters in the same room. Probably it was used with other planters to form a table "garden" for the large glass room.
