Guido Andlovitz Red and Gold Deco Vase 1930s Italian Ceramic Society Laveno
About the Item
Guido Andlovitz Red hand-painted vase with gold floral motifs, Gold Verbanum Stone SCI Laveno of flattened spherical shape with a pot-bellied body and the wide neck formed by a straight step of 3.5 cm, which also makes it suitable for use as a cachepot, pot holder. Cast in brick red this vase is decorated with racemes and foliage in worn gold as well as in the borders. The interior is white.
The bottom bears the stamp in greenish gray Verbanum Stone SCI Laveno, Verbano Ceramic Society surmounted by an eagle with spread wings. The vase was made around the 1930s under the artistic direction of Guido Andlovitz (1900-1971).
The vase is in good condition. For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, an export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. the issuance of such a government license takes a couple of weeks or so, to be added to the order processing time.
