Japanese Wooden Cachepot 1920 'Made from One Tree'

About the Item

This is a fire bowl called 'Hibachi' in Japanese. This was made from only one wood. Outside is made with wood but inside with metal. It was used for a fire bowl but now, we can use as a cachepot or flower vase. The design is flowers and leafs. The colors are gold, beige and brown.The decoration outside surface, there are some metals too. Hibachi is a traditional Japanese heating device. It is a brazier which is either round, cylindrical, or box-shaped, open-topped container, made from or lined with a heatproof material and designed to hold burning charcoal. It is filled with incombustible ash, and charcoal sits in the center of the ash. Hibachi were used for heating, not for cooking. Dimensions: H20 X 24 X 24 cm.
