Pair of Antique Compton Scroll Style Garden Pots

About the Item

A pair of reclaimed Compton scroll style garden pots reclaimed from a country house in Devon. Beautifully weathered, these large planters are crafted in stoneware that resembles a light Portland limestone. Showcasing an impressive scale and design, their thick top edge and scrolling handles are similar to the iconic plant pots made during the early to early 20th century by the famed Compton Pottery established by Mary Seton Watts. Each scroll pot features a naturally weathered finish which can only be achieved by exposure to the elements over many years, and a sizeable planting area – perfect for planting with small trees, leafy foliage or flowers.
