pair of French 19th century Charles X st. Sienna Marble and Ormolu tazzas

About the Item

A wonderful and extremely decorative pair of French 19th century Charles X st. Sienna Marble and Ormolu tazzas/urns. Each stunning tazza is raised by a two tiered square Sienna marble base which is decorated by an Ormolu Rai de Coeur band. The square Sienna bases support handsome reeded Ormolu socles which raise the circular urns above. The underside of each urn displays richly chased acanthus leaves while the rim showcases a fanciful egg and dart design. To each side are 'C' scrolled arms accented with foliate designs and ending with rosettes. Wonderful detail and proportions throughout.
