    First Period Worcester Porcelain Holly Berry Pattern Teacup and Saucer, Hop Trellis Pattern, Circa 1775. The First Period Worcester porcelain teacup and saucer has a reeded French shape and is richly decorated with the Holly Berry pattern- a variation of the Hop Trellis pattern. Panels of purple plants alternate with berried foliage between borders of lilac diaper and gold herringbone and a lower border of white pearls on a bright turquoise ground. There are gilt dentil rims and the inside of the cup has flowers and berried sprigs below a gold band. Dimensions: Overall: 2 3/8 inches high x 5 1/4 inches wide; Saucer: 5 1/4 inch diameter x 1 inch high; Cup: 1 7/8 inches high x 4 inches wide x 3 3/8 inches deep. (overall 6.033 cm high x 13.34 cm wide) Mark: Cup with a gold crescent.     This round and colorful antique planter was created in “Faïencerie de Gien," France, circa 1890. The large porcelain flower pot has intertwined snake handles, and features traditional Greek style motifs throughout. The sculptural, ceramic vase is decorated with hand painted traditional allegory motifs, including the Horn of plenty and lambrequin mantling decor. The elegant porcelain piece is in excellent condition with rich painted colors in the blue, white and yellow palette inside and out. Stamped Gien France underfoot for further authentication. The Faïencerie de Gien is a ceramic factory in the Loire Valley, founded in 1821 by Thomas Edme Hulm.
