Rouge Marble Centerpiece Bowl and Cover with Gilt Bronze Mounts

About the Item

Our magnificent oval shaped centerpiece carved from variegated rouge marble in the neoclassical style has finely cast and gilt bronze mounts including acanthus and berry finial, ribbon decorated swags and medalion at the center, scrolling organic handles and circular pedestal decorated with berry vine and beading. Apparently unsigned. Of exceptional quality, comparable to the works from Ferdinand Barbedienne.
