This handcrafted 19th century pan will also make a great jardinière. If you are a chef or simply passionate about cooking and appreciative of the incredible workmanship from the early 1800's then this extremely rare and great looking pan from that era could be perfect for you. This handcrafted out of copper and brass, kitchen pan comes with an embossed pair of eal-like creatures on either side of a crest on the one side. The other side is decorated with a stylized fleur de lis of perfectly scrolling leafs with a monogram GC. We cannot find another pan of this size and with such stunning and elaborate decorations anywhere on the internet or in books, but in the early 19th century eal and pike were delicacies in various parts of Europe and we believe that this rare size and shape pan was created specifically for cooking those types of fish. It would have graced the kitchen of a mansion in Holland or France, but nowadays this striking antique could also be used for other, decorative purposes. The decorations, the shape, the patina and the overall look and feel make this unique antique an absolute joy to own and look at, no matter what you decide to use it for or how you decide to have it on display.
