About the Item
Antique Glass Footed Ewer, Late 19th Century
This antique footed ewer, dating from the late 19th century (around 1880-1900), features a globular body with a twisted handle and matching twisted pedestal. The glass has a subtle yellow tint, indicative of high lead content, which was common in glass pieces from this period. The ewer’s design and craftsmanship suggest Venetian or Murano-style origins, known for their intricate and high-quality glasswork.
