About the Item
Stunning and Extremely Rare Pair of French Sevres Style Paris Porcelain Jardinieres of generous proportions, complete with their original circular undertrays. Third quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier.
Each main bowl exquisitely hand decorated in colours with a continuous band of Classical Figures depicting Greek Gods and Deities to include Zeus and Athena, on an unusual black matt surface ground, raised on three red glazed decorative supports. The undertrays also on matt black. These pieces are unmarked.
Condition: Good condition for such early pieces, no losses anywhere.
Measures: Height: (entire) 10.75” (27cm). Diameter: (at top rim) 8.75” (22cm). Diameter: (undertrays). 10.75” (27cm).
