This is a gorgeous pair of French Empire style cassolettes or urns that are perfect for a mantle or a buffet or sideboard. They are unique in that they have snakes that are naturalistically cast in bronze and gorgeous verdi marble with white veins and incredible character. The pieces are heavy and rather large and in good original condition. They date to the 1940s era.
