A fine pair of French 19th century Rouge-Royal marble and figural gilt bronze-mounted flambeaux urns surmounted with four ormolu figures of dolphins supporting the center urn with their upright tails and crowned with an ormolu burning flame, Paris, circa 1880.

depth 11 inches (27.9 cm),
The base measures 9 inches by 9 inches (22.9 cm by 22.9 cm).

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. A truly beautiful pair of urns. The marble has some minor veining in-filling. The ormolu with its original gilt and finely chased. There is evidence that these pair of urns were previously used as lamps. They are quite large and impressive in person.
