French 19th Century Grand Tour Period Bronze and Marble Urn

A handsome French 19th century Grand Tour period patinated bronze and Vert de Patricia marble urn. The urn is raised by a square Vert de Patricia marble base with lightly curved fluted patinated bronze feet and a fine mottled border. The urn above displays an elegant socle pedestal, lovely Greek key designs at the body and roman personages dressed in period attire amidst palmettes and floral designs. The neck displays finely detailed medallions of emperors amidst additional most decorative palmettes designs. At each side are striking scrolled handles with fine foliate movements and charming swans. The urn also retains its original removable metal fitted interior. All original rich patina throughout.
