About the Item

A striking and very high quality French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and ormolu tazza. The tazza is raised by a square base with a beautiful wrap around mottled foliate ormolu band and beautiful richly chased tied berried laurel wreaths with blooming flowers at each side of the central support. The socle shaped pedestal support above displays a lovely fluted design with a striking wrap around twisted ribbon band below the reeded body with exquisite richly chased interlocking snake handles at each side.
