French and Asian Collaboration 19th Century Louis XVI St. Famille Rose Porcelain
About the Item
A beautiful and high quality French and Asian collaboration 19th century Louis XVI st. Famille Rose porcelain urn. The urn is raised by a fine square ormolu base with concave corners and a richly chased wrap around tied berried laurel band. The baluster shaped body displays exceptional and finely detailed scenes and personages with charming butterflies and flowers in a striking array of vivid colors. The most decorative handles at each side of the neck display a unique pierced design with wonderfully executed and richly chased swaging berried laurel ormolu garlands. The rim above displays a charming and most decorative wrap around foliate ormolu band. All original gilt throughout.
