Italian 19th Neoclassical Scagloiola and Ormolu Urn
About the Item
An impressive Italian 19th century Neo-Classical st. Scagliola and ormolu urn. The urn is raised by a square base below the mottled socle shaped pedestal support decorated with a fine beaded wrap around ormolu band. The elegantly shaped scagliola body displays richly chased intertwined ormolu snake handles at each side while above the mottled neck is a striking ormolu foliate finial in a rich satin and burnished finish.
