Mid-Century French Gold Plated Brass and Painted Porcelain Urn with Foliage

About the Item

Decorate a console, commode, or table with this elegant and colorful decorative urn. Crafted in France circa 1960 and built of gold platted brass and porcelain, the tall vase features mythical creature mounts, including two winged lion handles and two horned faces on either side. The body of the urn has a wonderful display of floral and foliage motifs with raised gold decor adding a pleasing contrast. The flower and plant subjects are full of vibrant and brilliant colors. The large vessel rest upon a base ending with lions paw feet and oval shaped feet. The neoclassical style work of art adorns a marvelous gilt finish all throughout and is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. Measures: 12"W x 10"D x 26.75"H
