Pair of Mid-Century French Louis XVI Painted Porcelain Urns Sevres Style
About the Item
Decorate a buffet or a mantel with this large pair of antique porcelain urns. Crafted in France circa 1950 in the manner of Sevres, each colorful vase is mounted on a circular base decorated with acanthus leaf motif in high reliefs and embellished with carved side masque handles; each tall vessel is hand painted with family portrait scenes on a Celeste blue background. The Campagna form vases are further dressed with egg and dart rim. The elegant urns are in excellent condition, beautifully painted, and decorated with gilt accents throughout.
