About the Item

Decorate a mantel or a console with this elegant pair of antique bronze dore and marble cassolettes. Crafted in France, circa 1890, these urns stand on square marble bases with recessed corners. Each vessel built of black and white variegated marble is dressed with a dome shaped lid embellished with a pine cone form finial at the top. The body, dressed with leaf-form and wheat handles is decorated with bronze ring mounts motifs at the top, neck, and bottom. The tall neoclassical vases are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich patinated gilt finish with wonderful colors. 4.25"W x 4.25"D x 17"H
